Matija Maršenić is a Montenegrin defensive midfielder who spent his youth career from 2021 to 2024 at Bayer Leverkusen before suffering a serious knee ligament injury that sidelined him for several months.

Although he never made a senior appearance, he played 19 times for the U19s in the Bundesliga West and featured regularly in first-team training sessions.
